An authentic Mid-Century Modern tray handcrafted by Couroc in Monterey, California.
The centerpiece is a small robin-like or thrush-like songbird perched on a bare branch, rendered in natural tones with a warm orange breast. Around it are red-orange autumn leaves, while two simplified flying birds appear above and to the left in gold-toned inlay. Against the glossy black Couroc background, it has a very classic mid-century California nature-design look.
Of course, it’s set in Couroc’s signature alcohol- and heat-resistant satin black phenolic resin.
Perfectly proportioned as a bar cart cocktail/drink tray or as a chic bedroom vanity tray for perfumes, jewelry, and cosmetics.
There are two small chips, one on each side of tray. I’ve photographed and circled, but as you can see, the chips don’t detract from this unique design and colorway.
