Vintage Art Deco-style pottery basket vase or small decorative planter featuring a soft cream and yellow iridescent lustre glaze with hand-painted emerald-green trim.
The molded design includes an arched handle, curled accents, fluted basket details and a raised oval pedestal base. The glaze shifts between pale yellow, cream, green and subtle pink tones depending on the light.
The underside is unglazed and bears a red handwritten number “21” along with a small impressed mold or factory symbol. No complete maker’s mark remains. Its form, decoration and lustre finish are consistent with Czech or Bohemian export pottery produced during the early-to-mid 20th century, although the exact manufacturer and origin cannot be confirmed.
Approximate measurements:
* 5–5¼ inches wide
* 4¼–4½ inches tall
Good vintage condition. There is one visible shallow chip with glaze loss along the upper rim, along with minor interior discoloration, small marks, glaze variation and manufacturing imperfections consistent with age. The handle is intact. There are no cracks or repairs. The unglazed bottom retains some old label residue and surface wear.
Please review all photographs closely, including the enlarged image of the rim chip and the underside markings. The ruler and folding rule shown in the photographs are not included.
A distinctive decorative piece for a collection of vintage Czech pottery, Art Deco ceramics, lustreware, miniature planters or basket-form vases. Recommended for decorative display rather than food service.
