This is an excellent, clean and large 1973 Dunhill Shell Briar ODA (Own Design "A") 843 straight billiard w/ Alfred Dunhill (AD) sterling silver band. This outstanding pipe has a beautiful craggy blast with a defined two-toned shell briar finish. This pipe has been well kept and is in great condition for a 1973 ODA. The nomenclature is present and legible and the rim is clean. The silver band has been polished up and preserved. The airway, chamber and stem have been cleaned up and ready to provide a long meditative piping experience. I have added a light carnauba wax to the finish to assist in protecting this classic pipe's vintage look and took care to shine up the stem which required very little restoration to preserve it. This giant will look great, provide imposing presence in any pipe rack and function well for whom ever decides to purchase this beautiful piping instrument.
