Vintage Dutch 1960s Gold Tone Art Repro (4)COVERED NESTING TIN KITCHEN CANISTERS For Sale

A rare VINTAGE 1960’s set of (4) embossed tin canisters in a rich gold tone, featuring reproduction prints of Dutch Old Master paintings with pressed tin frames. There are four different images which appear repeatedly on each side of all four canisters. Each colored image has a pressed frame border around each ‘painting’, two rectangular and two oval. The snap on lids have the same all over background scrolled pattern as the canisters themselves. The lid features a red petal like burst radiating out from a center gold medallion which serves as a base to the pear shape nobs. Each stands on raised nub feet. These elegant canisters were used as my mom’s “safe keeping” boxes, not for food storage. The interiors are in clean condition. Each stamped “CONTAINER MADE IN HOLLAND”. Approx Size (without lids): #1-6”Hx5.24”W, #2-5.75x4.5”, #3-4.5x 4, #4-4x3.5. The set as a whole is in good pre-owned condition, showing some age appropriate wear around the edges of the lids, base and nubs. Minimal indentations. No rust or scratches. Portraits are in perfect condition. Lids snap tight.
