Vintage England Coalport Art-Deco porcelain dancer, 10.5 x 8.25 in. For Sale

Coalport Art Deco style porcelain figurine titled Rhapsody, designed in collaboration with Compton and Woodhouse. The glazed porcelain figure depicts a female dancer in a dramatic backbend pose, wearing a cobalt blue gown with a flowing, wide skirt accented by a gilded rose-patterned border. The multi-color bodice features a floral motif in shades of orange, pink, green, and blue, highlighted with gold outlines and a wide gilded waistband. The figure is mounted on a circular glossy black base. The underside features a printed black crown logo above the text COALPORT EST. 1750, the title Rhapsody, printed text Sculpted by above the facsimile signature of Jack Glynn, and limited edition text indicating number 158 of 4,950. Also marked CW Compton and Woodhouse CW 684. Includes a white paper inspection label reading iNSP 7.
