One pen is fitted with anEsterbrook 9556 Master Series nib. It was dip tested with ink andwrote smoothly.
The other is fitted with anEsterbrook 1550 nib. It was also dip tested anddoes write, but the nib felt scratchy on paper.
Both pens retain visible Esterbrook barrel markings and have the classic black jeweled caps and chrome-tone trim. The copper/brown celluloid-style finish shows attractive pearlescent figuring.
Important:These were tested only by dipping the nibs in ink. The lever filling mechanisms and internal ink sacs werenot tested, so no guarantee is made regarding their ability to fill or retain ink. They may need cleaning, a new sac, nib adjustment or other servicing.
