Up for sale a vintage French provincial Santon terracotta figure of an old washer woman in a blue floral skirt, blue blouse and white apron for her washing complete with her wooden washing tube standing on 3 legs, soap and a red gingham cloth that she is washing. Santons are ornamental provincial figures in clay and dressed in cloth clothes used in the Christmas creche or nativity. The washer woman stands on a slice of a wooden log and measures 9.5” tall and the wash basin measures 5” H x 3.5” W x 4” D. Good condition.
