Emptying the museum! Fantastic original GE Telechron commercial-style wall clock, believed to date from the 1950s. This is the classic large institutional design commonly associated with schools, offices, factories and other commercial settings.
Tested and working. The clock runs, the time-setting mechanism works, and importantly, the red power-loss indicator is also functional. When power is interrupted, the indicator provides a visual warning that the displayed time may no longer be correct.
The dial retains its original vintage patina, including age-related discoloration, spotting and fading. It has not been restored or refinished. In my opinion, the aged face gives this clock tremendous character and is a big part of its appeal.
The electrical cord has been professionally replaced, allowing the original clock to remain usable without retaining an old deteriorated cord.
