Vintage GOODELL-PRATT Spiral Screw Driver / Push Drill - 1890 & 1891 Patents For Sale

Great estate find in good but worn (over 100 years of use) working condition. Either a walnut or flowerwood handle (looks like walnut, but could be greasy/dirty patina flowerwood) on a brass and iron push drill. The drill has two parts with the second being a smaller chuck to hold a smaller bit. See pictures. Both are marked Goodell Pratt. The push drill has the patent dates; the smaller chuck has no patent dates. They may not be original to each other.

Please note - Our home has pets including two German shepherds, a lhasa apso, four cats and 30 fishes. The fishes and lhasa apso do not shed. The rest of our zoo does. All articles of clothing are stored in lidded bins in our inventory area where pets cannot get to them. Clothing is inspected for and cleaned of any hair before shipment. We may, however, miss some hair somewhere on the piece of clothing. If allergic to cats or dogs, it would be advisable to launder the clothing before wearing or to shop elsewhere.
