Vintage portrait print of George Q. Cannon (1827–1901), prominent early leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS).
The reverse is stamped “PROPERTY OF SAN DIEGO 10th WARD LIBRARY” and “MEETINGHOUSE LIBRARY – LINDA VISTA BUILDING,” providing interesting historical provenance from an LDS meetinghouse library in San Diego, California.
Portrait is mounted on a textured board and appears to be a later colorized reproduction of a historical image. Exact printing date and publisher are unknown.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with visible age and use wear. There is surface/paper loss along the lower right edge of the portrait, a small area of loss within the image, edge and corner wear, creasing, discoloration, and old adhesive/tape remnants on the reverse. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
An interesting piece of LDS, Mormon, Utah and American religious history, particularly due to its documented San Diego 10th Ward library provenance.
Original vintage item shown in the photographs. Sold exactly as pictured.
