This original oil can, measuring approximately 18" in height and 3.5" in diameter, 1 quart capacity, features a brown color and is a unique piece of gas and oil memorabilia. It is a rare vintage original locomotive oil can from the 1930s, featuring a unique "Golden Rod" design by Dutton-Lainson.. This oiler can is a piece of American gas and oil history. With no modifications, this collector's item represents a bygone era of advertising and merchandise. It will prime when pumped, however when spout/neck is attached it does not produce enough force to push the oil up the tube. I decided to not take it down further to get to the pump inside.
