Vintage mid-century chrome Pincherette ashtray / trinket tray, featuring a wonderful pair of stylized toucan or pelican birds at the center.

This design is attributed to Hamilton Products and dates to approximately the 1950s–1960s. The birds’ open beaks were originally designed to hold or “pinch” cigarettes, giving this style the Pincherette name. Today it also makes a fun MCM decorative piece, catchall, jewelry or trinket tray.

Condition:

Pre-owned vintage condition with visible scratches, surface wear and areas of slight discoloration consistent with age and previous use. Cork bottom also shows age and wear. Please review all photographs closely for condition.

This was originally manufactured as an ashtray and may have been used for cigarettes. No cigarette/smoke odor is currently detectable, and the piece has been washed.
