Beautiful vintage hand-carved wooden giraffe made in Kenya. This is a substantial decorative piece with wonderful hand-painted detailing throughout and a natural wood base.The original label is still attached underneath and states that the carving was hand carved in Kenya using traditional African carving techniques. It also notes that the wood is locally sourced and that natural variations and small cracks are characteristic of the wood as it acclimates.Also retains its original Dillard’s price tag, which is a neat piece of its history.Excellent statement piece for an eclectic, boho, African-inspired, safari, maximalist, or vintage interior. Its tall, slender shape looks especially good displayed on a dresser, console table, bookshelf, or alongside plants.Condition: Very good vintage condition with natural variations, age-related wear, and cracking in the wood/base consistent with a handmade wood carving.
