Vintage Hand Carved Wood Elephant Vase 10” Thai Jungle Scene 3D Openwork For Sale

Really striking vintage carved wood vase featuring a dimensional elephant surrounded by trees and dense tropical foliage. The carving has wonderful depth, with open areas between the trees creating a layered, 3D jungle scene.The piece has a warm brown finish and a wide flared opening at the top. Measures ~ 10” tall and weighs approximately 2 lbs.The piece is unmarked, but was part of a large collection of vintage carvings from Thailand, and is believed to have been acquired there. Vintage/pre-owned condition with some scuffs and scratches from age and use. One small carved tree branch is missing, shown in the photos. There is also dust/debris within some of the deep carved and openwork areas. Because the carving is delicate, I have not extensively cleaned the interior recesses.
