I found this beautiful wooden horse sculpture while exploring the quieter backstreets of Istanbul. It belonged to an elderly collector who really didn’t want to let it go. After a long conversation and a little persuasion, I was lucky enough to bring it home with me.
I honestly felt that a piece this beautiful shouldn’t stay hidden away. It deserves to be seen, displayed and enjoyed, so I decided to offer it to collectors and vintage lovers around the world.
The sculpture shows a rearing horse with a very strong and expressive look. The carved mane, tail, face, body and decorative details give it a lot of character. The dark wood, visible grain and signs of age make every angle interesting.
It is a pre-owned vintage piece, so there are signs of age and previous use, including some surface marks, scratches, wear and natural imperfections in the wood. I have tried to show the condition as clearly as possible in the photos and video.
