VINTAGE HAND CARVED WOODEN SITTING CHEETAH
CARVED & PURCHASED IN AFRICA
This cheetah was actually purchased by friends of ours who traveled to Africamany years/decades ago & we inherited it several years ago. They watched this cheetah being carved and then purchased it from the carver. I believe they were in Kenya where this was being made. As I mentioned above, this cheetah has always been kept in a glass display case & since they never had children, it was never played with. It is in beautiful condition and I do not see any issues with it. Any light or dark colors in my pictures are from the light coming through my window & not on the Cheetah.It appears to be made out of one solid piece of wood. I do not see or feel any lines or seams in the wood & it's very smooth. What a gorgeous piece of wood & a talented wood crafter to create such a beautiful piece of art!
