Vintageand charming Russian lacquer box from the village of Fedoskino. Thepainting depicts a Russian winter scene with a log cabin in theforest. A mother-of-pearl insert makes the sky glow gold. The bottomof the box is painted in a dark forest green and detailed with goldlines. It is signed in Cyrillic on the inside cover with the villagename “Fedoskino”, the title “Winter” and the artist'ssignature “Yezhov A.”.

Thebox measures approximately 3 1/2 inches long, 3 1/2 incheswide and 1 inch tall. The box is in excellent condition with no chipsor cracks.
