Vintage Hawaiian Hula Girl Doll 1940\'s 1950\'s Poseable 10\" Figure For Sale

Vintage 1940s–1950s Hawaiian Hula Girl souvenir doll. Standing at approximately 10 inches tall, this mid-century collectible features a beautifully molded, hand-painted fabric face with vibrant features and side-glancing eyes. Her body is soft , but poseable with wire under the cloth - Pantyhose type nylon arms and legs. Her face may have been made the same way ,- either that, or pressed felt. I can\'t say for sure. Her face is Handpainted.  The back legs, under the skirt have a couple spots, see last photo.

She wears a traditional natural raffia straw skirt, a bright pink yarn lei, and matching red fabric flowers in her molded black hair. The doll is securely mounted via staples to its original, solid round wooden base.

Excellent vintage condition. The hand-painted facial features remain incredibly crisp and vivid. The cloth skin shows mild, even age-toning as expected with its era, but no major stains, rips, or tears. The raffia skirt is full and intact. lei and hair flowers retain great color.
