Small vintage Catholic crucifix pendant featuring a raised figure of Christ with INRI above and the Latin inscription “ECCE LIGNUM CRUCIS IN QUO SALUS MUNDI.” The phrase translates roughly to “Behold the wood of the Cross, on which hung the salvation of the world.”

The piece has a black cross body with a silver-tone metal crucifix front. The reverse appears to be marked ITALY near the bottom. Nice devotional piece for a rosary, necklace, charm collection, or religious display.
