This is a beautiful vintage Japanese pottery vase with a rustic appearance reminiscent of traditional Bizen-style pottery.
It was carefully treasured by my grandmother in Japan for many years.
The vase features a tall cylindrical form with warm earthy brown tones and natural variations in the surface.
Delicate carved lines and raised botanical-style details decorate the lower part of the piece, giving it a simple yet expressive Japanese aesthetic.
The surface has subtle variations in color and texture that add to its handmade character and wabi-sabi charm.
There appears to be a faint incised mark on the bottom that may be an artist’s mark, but the maker and kiln are unknown.
Please note that I cannot confirm that this piece is authentic Bizen ware, so it is described as Bizen style based on its appearance.
Condition:
Vintage pre-owned item in very good overall condition.
Due to its age and handmade nature, there may be minor surface marks, variations, or signs of storage.
Please carefully review all photos for the exact condition.
