👨🎨 About the Artist:
Kunio Uchida was born in 1910 in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, and studied ceramics at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts.
🏆 The accompanying original biography records participation in major Japanese exhibitions and international recognition, including a design award in the United States in 1957, a Grand Prix at the Brussels World's Fair in 1958, and another Grand Prix in the United States in 1963.
🌏 The document also states that Uchida's ceramics were used in the VIP room of the Japan Pavilion at Expo '70 in Osaka.
