The Origin & Provenance
These cards carry a genuine 27-year history. They were acquired overseas in 1999 while my father was deployed in the military. Shortly after being brought back, they were packed away inside a storage chest where they sat safely protected in a dark, climate-controlled environment for nearly 30 years. They were recently uncovered, making this a true single-owner \"time capsule\" collection.
Condition & Preservation
Because they spent nearly three decades tucked away in storage, these cards are in fantastic vintage condition.

For collectors unfamiliar with early Japanese releases, these cards feature the iconic original \"Pocket Monsters\" blue Japanese card back with the classic Japanese Pokéball logo, rather than the standard English Pokémon logo back. This distinct backing was exclusive to vintage Japanese cards printed between 1996 and 2001, making them an incredible piece of early TCG history.
