Vintage complete set of the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin / 七福神), the beloved deities of good fortune, prosperity, longevity, happiness, and protection.
This mid-to-late 20th century set features seven small resin figurines with a warm yellow/amber “antique ivory” finish and dark patina highlighting the details. Each figure stands on a textured rocky base and is housed in its original (or period) wooden compartmentalized display box.
The Seven Gods included:
- Benzaiten – Goddess of music, arts, and beauty (holding biwa lute)
- Hotei – God of happiness and abundance (laughing Buddha figure)
- Fukurokuju / Jurojin – Gods of longevity and wisdom (elderly figures with staff and attributes)
- Ebisu – God of fishermen, commerce, and good luck (with fish)
- Daikokuten – God of wealth and prosperity (with mallet and sack)
- Bishamonten – Warrior god of protection and strength (armored with spear)
