Vintage Japanese koinobori set in its original decorative box with original paperwork, packaging, rope set, pulley, snap fittings, and assorted mounting hardware.
The textile components remain colorful and visually attractive, with storage wrinkles, folding creases, and normal age/handling wear. Some attachment cords show fraying, loose fibers, knots, and other wear. No major fabric loss is apparent in the photographed areas. Individual components bear original sewn and/or packaged labels including 東レアミック / Toray Amic, スバル鯉のぼり / Subaru Koinobori, 3 m, and Made in Japan markings.
The original cardboard box has considerably heavier wear, including crushing, creases, splits, edge and corner wear, scuffing, scratches, paper loss, and old tape/tape repairs. Original plastic bags and paper documents show age and storage wear.
IMPORTANT: The decorative yaguruma (矢車 / rotating arrow-wheel assembly) that normally mounts at the top of the display pole is missing and is not included. The display pole is also not included; the pole was originally a separately purchased component of this style of set. The original rope kit, pulley, cord, snap fittings, and other photographed hardware are included.

The original black presentation box features a large stylized carp surrounded by stars and bears the 昴（すばる） / Subaru name. A factory label identifies it as a:

The surviving textile grouping consists of the traditional five-color fukinagashi streamer plus black, red, and blue carp in descending sizes. The standard factory specification for the 3 m Subaru set was a 3 m black carp, 2 m red carp, 1.5 m blue carp, 3 m fukinagashi, 15 m rope set, and yaguruma; the pole was not part of the six-piece boxed set.
The large textile tag reads:
東レ m
giving a direct identification as a Toray Amic Subaru Koinobori, H-marked, 3-meter component.
Another original Japanese quality tag reads 布帛製鯉幟等品質表示票 and identifies a 2 m component as approximately 2 m long × 42 cm wide, 100% nylon, with dye/colorfastness classification 3. Another photographed sewn label on a white textile component reads 100% POLYESTER / MADE IN JAPAN. Because the original components carry differing fiber labels, this listing reports the individual markings as found rather than representing every textile in the set as one identical material.
The large five-color fukinagashi (吹流し) retains its reinforced circular mouth hoop and suspension cords. Its 3 m tag is visible in the photographs.
The black, red, and blue carp retain their circular mouth supports, cords, and attachment fittings. When hung indoors for photography, the scale of the set is substantial—the 3 m component is approximately 9 ft 10 in long.
The original accessory bag is especially useful for documenting what survives. It is approximately:
“Koinobori rope set — includes four mouth-fitting snaps.”
The bag is also marked 15 m and retains the photographed cord, black pulley block, and blue snap fittings. These are the original suspension/hoisting accessories, not pieces of the yaguruma.
Also included are the green painted pole/connector fitting, loose washers/rings and small hardware shown in the photographs.
A substantial group of original paperwork survives, including the illustrated 鯉・吹流し口金使用図 showing the snap-style mouth attachment, an 極上登龍矢車組立説明図 for assembly of the deluxe Tōryū yaguruma, warranty/insurance paperwork, and a period return postcard for the yaguruma equipment.

This is a particularly nice survivor for a collector because the matched textile group, original box, original rope kit, factory labels, and extensive documentation remain together. The principal missing original set component is the yaguruma, the wind-driven decorative arrow wheel normally mounted above the streamers.
