Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of Smoky Mountain history: a vintage hand-carved wooden bird sculpture by the legendary Tennessee artisan John Cowden. This piece features a striking bright red male Cardinal perched at the peak of a natural rustic tree stump, while a beautifully detailed Carolina Wren rests on a lower branch. The bottom retains its original \"Cowden Wood Carvers - Sevierville, TN\" price tag and the shop address on Birds Creek Road although part of it is difficult to read (see photo).
