Offered is an exceptional 32-piece vintage Josef Kober (Wien/Vienna, Austria) hand-painted pewter (Zinnfiguren) military miniature collection.
This beautifully preserved collection features a coordinated display of mounted cavalry and ceremonial military band figures, all individually hand-cast and hand-painted with remarkable attention to detail. The figures display exceptionally well together and represent the quality craftsmanship for which Josef Kober of Vienna is known.
The collection includes the original Kober display cases and is ideal for collectors of Austrian military miniatures, historical pewter figures, or European Zinnfiguren.

Condition
The figures are in excellent vintage condition.
After careful inspection, I found only very minimal age-related paint wear consistent with careful ownership and long-term display/storage.
Highlights include:
- Original hand-painted finish
- Bright, vibrant colors
- Excellent painted facial details
- Gold trim and uniform details remain well preserved
- No obvious repairs or repainting observed
- Horses, weapons, and instruments appear intact
- Original Kober plastic display cases included
The original yellow foam inserts are not included. They were intentionally removed because aging polyurethane foam can deteriorate over time and may damage painted metal collectibles. The figures have instead been carefully protected during storage.
