Vintage Kraeuter 1830-8 8\" Lineman Pliers Side Cutters USA Hand Restored

Offered here is a handsome pair of vintage Kraeuter Industrial No. 1830-8 lineman’s combination pliers, proudly manufactured in the USA.

These heavy-duty forged-steel pliers measure approximately 8 inches long and feature serrated gripping jaws, an open throat, integrated side-cutting edges and traditional bare-steel handles.

These pliers were acquired with substantial rust and have been individually reconditioned by hand. The restoration included careful rust removal, cleaning and regrooving of the gripping surfaces with a small file, and reshaping and refining the working areas. Considerable time and care went into returning this vintage American tool to attractive, functional condition while preserving its authentic age and industrial character.

The joint operates properly, the gripping teeth are clean and well defined, and the jaws and cutting areas present very well. Authentic age-related marks, patina and minor surface pitting remain.
