A beautiful vintage L.E. Smith Moon & Star lidded compote, transformed in a luminous Lavender Satin finish exclusively for The Gathered Light.
The deeply pressed Moon & Star pattern is especially striking in this color. Soft lavender and violet shift into blush, rose and silvery highlights as the light changes, while the satin finish emphasizes the dimensional moons, stars and geometric details of the glass. Different lighting brings out an entirely different character in the piece.
This is a custom artist-altered vintage L.E. Smith piece, individually finished by hand using The Gathered Light’s proprietary cold-color process. The compote began as clear vintage glass; Lavender Satin is an applied finish and is not an original L.E. Smith factory glass color.

Condition: Please note that the lid has a visible chip along its lower front edge, shown clearly in the close-up photograph.
