Beautiful vintage large 9-inch natural whelk-style seashell with striking natural coastal coloring.The exterior has shades of cream, tan, pale pink and gray, while the large opening features beautiful pink, coral and peach-orange tones. The shell has dramatic sculptural ridges and a substantial size that makes it an excellent display piece.This shell came from a North Carolina beach house and is part of a vintage seashell collection that had been stored for many years.There is still natural marine growth/residue attached to portions of the exterior, adding to its authentic found-at-sea appearance. It has been left exactly as found and has not been cleaned, polished or restored. Cleaning, if desired, is left to the buyer.As a genuine natural vintage shell, it shows weathering, surface wear, pitting, discoloration, edge wear and other natural imperfections.
