Magnificent, large-scale vintage replica of Thailand\'s revered Emerald Buddha (Phra Phuttha Maha Mani Rattana Patimakon), depicted in traditional royal attire.
This impressive, older display piece stands 19.5 inches tall, measures 12 1/8 inches wide at the base, and weighs over 10 lbs.
Material: Solid, heavy resin casting with a deep translucent green body and head emulating the famous emerald original.- Design: Features a clever removable top crown finial with a plug-and-socket fit, originally engineered to prevent breakage during transit.
- Details: Intricately sculpted gilt gold finish with hand-applied red paint accents and embedded red rhinestones along the multi-tiered crown (mongkut), royal vestments, and tiered pedestal base.
- Base: Lined on the underside with a traditional red linen protective fabric.
Very good vintage condition. There is fraying of the cloth on the bottom of the base. There is a little dust in the deeper recesses due to age. It displays expected age patina and character to the hand-finished painted and gilded surfaces.
There are no gouges, breaks, or repairs.
