Up for quick sale is a beautiful, highly collectible set of four (4) vintage Luminarc "Vin du Rhin" Alsace wine glasses. Made in France, these feature the iconic vibrant emerald green stems and clear bowls.
This is a rare "multi-motif" storyteller set—every single glass features a completely different traditional Alsatian folk scene inspired by the famous regional artist Hansi (Jean-Jacques Waltz). The colorful decals detail local figures in traditional regional dress (including iconic headdresses), village houses, and church steeples. No two glasses are identical!
The green glass stems are different too. The stems on the two glasses with one character in the motif are thinner and more tapered than the straight and heavier stems on the two glasses with multiple characters in the motif.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, flea bites, or cloudiness. The colorful graphic decals are completely intact, crisp, and vibrant.
