HUMMEL GOOD HUNTING #307. A charming and highly detailed figurine featuring a young hunter standing alert with binoculars raised to his eyes, dressed in traditional outdoor attire. He wears a green alpine hat, plaid shirt, and carries a rifle slung over his shoulder. At his feet sits a small brown rabbit, looking up at him adding warmth and gentle humor to the scene. The composition captures youthful curiosity and the innocence of early exploration. The boy is posed mid‑observation, binoculars held firmly as he scans the landscape. His rifle rests casually over his shoulder, emphasizing that this is a scene of learning rather than action. The rabbit at his feet is sculpted with expressive detail, giving the piece a gentle narrative, almost as if the rabbit is curious about the boy’s adventure.Originally sculpted by REINHOLD UNGER in 1955, the figurine style is appreciated for its storytelling composition and the inclusion of the rabbit companion, which makes it stand out among the boy‑hunter HUMMELS. The colors are classic mid‑century GOEBEL®, warm EARTH tones, soft GREENS, and subtle shading that highlight the folds of clothing and textures of the base. This wonderful figurine based on the original artwork of SISTER MARIA INNOCENTIA HUMMEL was produced during the TMK‑4 trademark period circa 1964-1972. The underside carries the correct GOEBEL® blue V with FULL BEE hallmark and WEST GERMANY backstamp consistent with TMK‑4 production. TMK‑4 versions are known for crisp detailing and strong hand‑painted features, desirable due to their balance of vintage age and high production quality.This figurine is in wonderful vintage condition retaining color with strong paint and is well‑preserved. The underside shows typical TMK‑4 era glaze pattern but with crazing on the underside and rim of the base. It is otherwise clean with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Certain to become a cherished addition for any HUMMEL enthusiast, this figurine is the perfect piece for display, gifting, or completing a collection. This is a wonderful opportunity for the M.I.
