This is an especially colorful group featuring pheasants/game birds and a charming bluebird design. Several pieces retain their original JAPAN / MADE IN JAPAN markings and labels, making this a great instant collection for a vintage salt & pepper shaker or Japanese ceramic collector.
Included in this collection:
• Colorful Long-Tailed Bird / Pheasant Pair – Beautiful and highly decorative matching pair with vivid orange, yellow, green, blue and pink coloring and dramatic long tails. Both retain their oval “MADE IN JAPAN” foil labels on the underside.
• Brown & Yellow Bird Pair – More realistically styled matching birds with detailed brown feathering, yellow breasts, green bases and long sculpted tails. Both are marked with matching numbers on the underside.
• Bluebird & Nest Set – Particularly charming blue bird paired with a sculpted nest featuring a bright yellow interior. Both pieces are marked JAPAN on the underside. A fun and unusual variation on the traditional figural salt and pepper shaker.
