There is a lot ofcharm packed into this little scene. The nurse stands in her traditionalwhite uniform and cap with red cross, holding one kitten in her arm whileanother sits patiently at her feet and a third appears to be tucked into bed.Whether they're awaiting treatment or simply figured out where all theattention is being handed out, the cats have clearly taken over the place.
The figurine isrendered primarily in soft ivory and white with delicate pastel accents,expressive painted faces and a matte, bisque-style finish. A pale greenornamental border follows the scalloped lower edge of the music-box base,giving the otherwise restrained palette just enough color.

Cosmetically, thisremains in excellent vintage condition. I find no chips, cracks, or repairs inthe figurine, kittens or decorative base. There is some subtle age-relatedtoning, light surface wear and small marks visible upon close inspection,particularly around the lighter surfaces and underside, all consistent with adisplayed vintage piece. Nothing jumps out at me as distracting from theoverall presentation.
Between the nurse,the kittens and the lullaby, this one has a pretty wide lane—an appealingvintage music box for a cat collector, nursing collectible display, Meicoenthusiast, or a thoughtful gift for somebody whose professional life involvestaking care of either people or four-legged troublemakers.
