Here are some very neat and unique vintage metal penguin salt and pepper shakers, likely silver-plated, but not too sure. They were manufactured in Japan during the Allied occupation between 1945 and 1952.
Origin: Marked "Occupied Japan" on the bottom.
Material: Heavy metal with possible silver plating, showing typical patina and wear from age.
Design: Penguin-shaped figures, featuring metal screw-in stoppers.
Dimensions: Approximately 2¾ inches high.
This listing consists and will include this set of two pieces (Pair), as pictured.
They are both original vintage pieces with expected normal signs of wear and tear, including but limited to scuffs, scratches dents, dings etc... as well as some heavy black patina on each item.
These might still be functional, but not too sure how safe they would be to still use and would recommend more so as decorative pieces to err on the side of caution.
I've attached a few pictures for your review and consideration. Take a moment to evaluate these, as they will serve as a final visual description, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for looking, and I hope to do business with you soon.
