A museum-quality vintage Mexican folk art 3D shadowbox shrine (nicho) housed in a hand-punched stamped tin frame (hoja de lata). Features a side-hinged glass front door that opens to an extraordinary hand-curated assemblage. At the center sits a print of Diego Rivera’s iconic 1925 masterpiece Día de las flores (Flower Day, LACMA collection), framed by a hand-painted scene and authentic miniature folk art elements.
Acquired from an estate collection alongside pieces from the Museo de Arte Popular (MAP) in Mexico City.

CONDITION REPORT:
Excellent vintage condition. The glass door hinges smoothly and latches properly. All internal miniature elements are securely mounted behind glass. The stamped tin frame displays a rich, natural patina.
