Vintage Milk Glass Dental Tray or Pale Blue Milk Glass Soap Dish Holder with Ribbed Sloped Design
A recent thrift store discovery, this vintage treasure definitely caught Mrs. Ednas's eye and said “please add me to your store”.
Seemingly rare and hard to find, the tray has an unusual blue color tint, which makes it different from typical white milk glass.
It may have originally been used as a dental tray, but today it could easily be repurposed as a dish to hold a bar of soap. The rectangular shape, raised rib design and angled slope allows water to drip down and away from the open end.
On the backside, molded in the glass, is the name “Alcasco”.
Mrs. Edna tried to find information about the company that manufactured this piece, including when it was made or if there are any others like it. Unfortunately she didn't discover anything definitive.
She did find a brochure online for “Aluminum Windows by Alcasco” from the 1950s. The logo name appears to be a similar script style. It is possible that this item really is a soap dish or maybe a promotional piece for the company.

The tray/dish was carefully hand washed and dried. It will be ready to use or display upon receiving.
There may be naturally occurring unique flaws or imperfections in the glass from manufacturing, such as variation in the coloring, design and finish.
This item is in close to very good pre-owned vintage condition.
There are signs of wear from age, use and storage, which does include but would not be limited to scuff/scratch marks and nicks/chips that range from flea bites to larger found mainly on the bottom along the edges.
