ELIZABETH GENTRY
DIES AT HOSPITAL
Died June 29, 1933
Popular and Charming Young
Woman Passes Away
Tuesday.
Miss Elizabeth Gentry, one of Chip-
pewa Falls' most popular and charm-
ing young women, died at St. Joseph's
hospital at 5 o'clock yesterday after
an illness of about two weeks.
Miss Gentry was born in this city
on June 9, twenty-seven years ago.
She attended the public schools and
graduated from Chippewa High school,
later going to the Eau Claire Teach-
ers' College. After graduating from
there, she taught in the public schools
at Stanley for three years, and for the
past four years was an English teach-
er in the Junior High school.
Miss Gentry's charm of manner and
happy disposition won her a host of
friends wherever she went and news.
of her death was a shock to the entire
community. Added to her unusual
personality was exceptional ability as
a teacher and her place will be dif-
ficult to fill, for she was as popular
with her pupils as well as all others
who knew her.
Besides her mother, Mrs. Mary S.
Gentry, she is survived by one broth-
er, James, of Billings, Mont., who with
his wife and small daughter are now
here.
Funeral services will be held at the
residence, 318 West Grand Avenue, at
2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Rev.
Carl Bruhn of the Presbyterian church
officiating. Interment will take place
in Forest Hill cemetery..
