Seller pays all US customs. Add a spectacular, high-fidelity statement piece to your Mid-Century Modern decor or fine art glass collection with this vintage 1950s hand-blown Murano glass bowl. Weighing an incredibly dense and substantial 2.5 pounds despite its 5.5" x 5.5" cabinet footprint, this heavy glass masterpiece features a rich ruby-red interior core cased inside a thick, four-lobed pinched glass rim.
The walls are filled with a uniform, multi-layered grid of controlled air bubbles (the Italian Bullicante technique) suspended amidst a shimmering, dense field of genuine 24K gold leaf flakes (Aventurine inclusions). The outer glass casing is infused with vintage uranium oxide, causing the entire exterior of the bowl to erupt into a brilliant, glowing neon-green color under a UV blacklight.
