Handcrafted by a skilled artisan of the Tohono O'odham (historically referred to as Papago) nation of the Southwest desert region.This cylindrical basket is meticulously hand-woven using a traditional split-stitch coiling technique over a solid fiber core foundation. The body features a classic stepped geometric motif woven out of contrasting darker plant fibers.
