Vintage Norwegian wall hanging featuring a colorful map of Norway (“Norge”) with traditional regional folk costumes/bunads throughout. Designed by Norwegian artist Inger Landsem Danielsen.This charming Scandinavian folk art textile features vibrant printed figures representing regional dress from across Norway, including Finnmark, Telemark, Hedmark, Akershus, and more. A wonderful mid-century decorative piece with strong Nordic design appeal.The textile is mounted with a wooden hanging rod at the top and displays beautifully on the wall. The fabric has a lovely textured weave consistent with vintage Scandinavian linen or linen-blend decorator textiles.Approximate dimensions: 26” x 15.25”Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Colors remain bright and attractive. On the reverse side, one corner of the folded fabric pocket that holds the wooden rod has loosened slightly from the original adhesive.
