intage Bronze Buddhist Altar Vase Pair — Brass Phoenix/Crane Medallion
Pair of heavy metal altar vases in the traditional trumpet-neck form, each finished in a dark marbled patina with an applied brass medallion depicting a crane/phoenix in flight. Substantial weight consistent with solid bronze/metal construction. No maker's marks, but style and weight suggest mid-20th century Japanese origin — traditionally used flanking a Buddhist altar or shrine.
