Each candlestick holds two slender candles at different heights. One socket rises directly from the rounded pedestal base, while a graceful scrolling brass arm supports the elevated socket and its circular wax-catching tray. Displayed together, the pair creates a charming four-light arrangement with far more visual presence than their diminutive size might suggest.
These were likely designed for slender prayer or devotional candles and would be lovely on a small home altar, shrine, meditation table, religious display, mantel, or intimate holiday tablescape. Their precise religious tradition, maker, and country of origin are unknown, so they are offered simply as vintage devotional-style brass candlesticks.
The design likely dates from approximately the mid-to-late 20th century. Turned trumpet-shaped sockets, broad bell-form bases, functional drip trays, and deeply curved arms give the pair the appearance of miniature altar furnishings rather than ordinary dollhouse accessories.
The 4 mm candle openings are easy to accommodate. Slender 4 mm beeswax tapers are readily sold online as prayer candles, church candles, ritual candles, meditation tapers, and miniature tapers—usually in inexpensive bundles. A slightly larger beeswax taper can also be gently warmed and narrowed at its base for a secure custom fit. No specialized or prohibitively expensive candle is required.
The brass has developed an attractive, mellow vintage surface with areas of natural oxidation and subtle color variation. It has been left unpolished to preserve its aged character, although the new owner could polish it to a brighter golden finish if desired.
