The adjustable candle mechanism allows the candle sockets to be raised as the candles burn. One candlestick retains its original thumb screw adjustment, while the other is missing the thumb screw but still displays beautifully.
The brass has developed a warm, naturally aged patina that many collectors prefer over polished brass.
