Beautiful vintage pierced brass hanging lantern featuring an ornate floral design with hand-worked/repoussé-style detailing and numerous small pierced openings throughout the body.
The lantern has a large rounded globe form with decorative top and bottom finial and displays an aged brass finish with wonderful natural patina, oxidation, discoloration and surface wear from age.
Approximate measurements:
15” tall × 10” wide
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related patina, oxidation, tarnish, scratches, surface wear and imperfections throughout. One hanging hook/loop is missing and will need to be replaced before the piece can be properly hung. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
Wonderful statement piece for an eclectic, Moroccan-inspired, Middle Eastern-inspired, bohemian or antique interior.
Please note: The lantern appears to have a seam around the center suggesting it may open; however, I was unable to open/separate the two sections and did not attempt to force it. It is being sold exactly as found.
