Up for sale is a beautiful antique color-tinted postcard featuring a scenic
"View in Hampton Park, Charleston, S.C."
This postcard was produced by the prominent American News Company (New York,
Leipzig, Berlin, Dresden) under their high-quality "Litho-Chrome" trademark
and printed in Germany during the early 1900s (circa 1907-1915).
Front View:
Features a historic color-tinted snapshot of Hampton Park highlighting a scenic
body of water, a classic wooden gazebo pavilion, and structural bridge pathways.
Back View:
Features a full handwritten cursive letter written in dark ink. The message reads:
"Dear Eloie. we have surely had a hard time of it ever since 15th of August.
Aunt Annie has been near dead for seven weeks we had the Dr coming twice a day
and some day three times the worst of is was d was taken in Aiken & 6 miles from
weeks and the Doctors & had 2 up there"
