Beautiful vintage ceramic horse designed by Rosa Ljung, a wonderfully decorative piece of Swedish Scandinavian design.
The horse has a charming stylised form with a glossy warm ivory/cream glaze, contrasted by hand-finished rich brown details to the flowing mane and tail. An especially lovely feature is the raised floral garland decorating the body, giving the piece an elegant folk-art character with a distinctly Nordic feel.
The original “Design: Rosa Ljung” label is still present on the side, a lovely detail for collectors.
