Original vintage Christmas subscription order form from a December 1948 issue of Gourmet Magazine.
The front features a charming mid-century Santa illustration with ribbon and holly advertising special Christmas gift subscription rates. The reverse side shows a delightful scene of Santa relaxing in a chair reading Gourmet surrounded by holiday food and drink. The illustration is signed Stahleck, adding to its collectible appeal.
This piece originally functioned as a mail-in order form. The moisture-activated adhesive strips used to seal the form are still visible along the edges, which would have been moistened and folded to create an envelope for mailing.
