The group includes:
- Small seated dog with shell ears, paws and body, finished with a ribbon bow
- Whimsical family/group of shell figures arranged inside a large seashell
- Heavily embellished seated dog covered almost entirely in dozens of tiny shells
- Small poodle-style dog constructed from scallop and other shells
The figurines have wonderful kitschy coastal character and are great examples of vintage shell craft and souvenir art.
One retains a label reading “Made in Taiwan Republic of China.” Another retains a “Made in Philippines” label. The remaining pieces are unmarked.
Each measures approximately 3\" tall, with some variation between figures.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related discoloration, dust, glue residue and general wear. Because these are handmade from numerous individual natural shells, there may be small irregularities, rough edges, old adhesive and minor losses that are difficult to distinguish from the original construction. Please examine the detailed photographs carefully for exact condition and completeness.
