Vintage English Art Deco very stylish and geometrically designed set of two brushes, La Parfaite, beautifully fashioned from Agalin, a proprietary form of Bakelite/Catalin by the English NTS Plastics Company. Each brush has a typical Art Deco geometric carved shape design in amber red marble color with beautiful geometric design on top with black and gold contrast. Each brush has a \"MOC\" monogram engraved. Agalin is the British version of the early designs by Gustave Jensen for Dupont\'s \"Pyralin\" line and Paul Frankl\'s \"Amerith\" line for Celluloid Corp. All are proprietary alternate phenolics to Bakelite or Catalin. Both brushes are marked \"Agalin - La Parfaite\" and company Hallmark. Very good vintage condition.

Material: Agalin - Bakelite (please note Agalin is a phenolic resin but doesn\'t test positive to regular Bakelite tests since the chemical components, although close to the Bakelite formula, are slightly different and the proportion of phenol in the material is extremely light preventing the regular testing for being positive). Technically, Agalin material can be described as a compromise between Bakelite and Celluloid.
Dimensions: 12\" 3/16 long x 1\" 11/16 wide x 1\" 9/16 high (31 x 4.3 x 4 cm) and 10\" 5/8 long x 2\" 15/16 wide x 1\" 9/16 high (27 x 7.5 x 4 cm).
Condition: Very good vintage condition, no chip, no crack, minor surface scratches due to use and slight miss of design contrast.
